LORNE POLGER

Lorne Polger is the Senior Managing Director and Co-Founder of Pathfinder Partners, a private equity fund based in San Diego, California that focuses on the acquisition of distressed real estate loans and assets. Since its inception in 2006, Pathfinder has acquired over $400,000,000 in defaulted loans and REO properties in major markets throughout the United States.

Prior to founding the company, Lorne practiced commercial real estate law for 20 years, and is the former head of the Real Estate Department at one of the largest law firms in San Diego, Procopio. He graduated with a B.A. from Colorado College in 1984, and earned his law degree from UCLA in 1988.

Lorne has taken an active role in the San Diego community. He has served on the local Boards of CCIM and the NCCJ and coached various youth sports. He currently serves as a National Commissioner of the Anti Defamation League and on the residential committee at the Burnham Moores Center at the University of San Diego.

Lorne is the proud parent of 2 high school teenagers, 2 dogs, and 6 race horses.

LINDA GONSALVES
LINDA GONSALVES

Linda Gonsalves is the managing partner in Gonsalves & Kozachenko and represents clients in a range of Estate Planning, Probate and Business matters.

Ms. Gonsalves advises clients regarding estate planning matters, and has extensive experience in representing clients in probate proceedings, including petitions to modify existing irrevocable trusts, Heggstad petitions to transfer property to the decedent’s living trust, and appointment of successor trustees, conservators and guardians. Ms. Gonsalves has served as a pro tem judge in the Alameda County Probate Department. She is a member of the State Bar of California Trusts and Estates section, the Alameda County Bar, and the Estate Planning Council of Southern Alameda County. She served for twelve years as a trustee and executive committee member of the Washington Hospital Foundation.

Before forming Gonsalves & Kozachenko, she served as a Judicial Extern to Judge Reid Ambler, Superior Court of California, Santa Clara County. She served as chair and as a member of the Fremont Economic Development Advisory Commission for eight years,. She has been a president and director of the Washington Township Bar Association. She presently serves as a director of Fremont Bank.

JOAN ALLECKSON
JOAN ALLECKSON

Joan Alleckson is the Director of Marketing for Cost Segregation Services, Inc. (CSSI).

Ms. Alleckson joined the CSSI team in 2006 and works closely with commercial property owners, CPAs, bankers, financial planners, commercial brokers and others to help them understand how cost segregation can improve the ROI on their, or their clients’, properties.

As the California Society of CPA Liaison, Joan helps CPAs throughout the state learn how they can quickly and easily analyze the benefits of cost segregation through CSSI‘s proprietary software—BIQ for CPAs. Joan is an active member of the California Society of CPAs and has served on the State Board of Directors and as President-San Diego Chapter.

STEVE WINSBY
STEVE WINSBY

Steve Winsby is the Regional Vice President of Southern California for Pinnacle AMS, a real estate management company.

Mr. Winsby has more than two decades of property management experience with multifamily real estate and retail throughout the Western United States. For the last two years, Winsby served as chief operating officer for Holland Residential where he was responsible for oversight of 16,000 multifamily units on the West Coast. Previously, he served as a senior vice president for Simpson Housing for five years, overseeing 11,000 market-rate, affordable and retail units in California, Oregon and Washington.

Winsby also worked as a general manager for Intercal Real Estate where he was responsible for 2 million square feet of retail and as a regional vice president for Trammell Crow Residential / BRE Properties where he managed properties in California, Colorado and Utah.

Winsby earned his Certified Property Manager (CPM®) designation from the Institute of Real Estate Management in 1994.

Scott Learned is a partner for Considine & Considine, a San Diego-based accounting firm.

For over 15 years, Mr. Learned has been an outstanding example of the firm’s commitment to service. After thorough training in various firm departments, including partnership and business income taxation, Scott is now responsible for our Real Estate Department. His expertise in the tax aspects of real estate transactions and his continuous delivery of timely service has resulted in a department filled with appreciative client relationships. He has also been a real estate investor of commercial and residential property for over 12 years.

Mr. Learned is a member of the San Diego Society of Certified Public Accountants, the California Society of Certified Public Accountants, and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He is also involved in the San Diego State University Alumni Association, is a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM), and is involved with the San Diego Apartment Association.
